Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999
The Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999 set the legal standards for the design, installation and maintenance of plumbing systems, fittings and appliances in England and Wales. If you install or maintain water systems, understanding these regulations isn't optional; it's fundamental to working legally, protecting public health and preventing waste, misuse and contamination of the water supply.
This 1-day course gives you a thorough working knowledge of the regulations and how they apply to your day-to-day work on site. You'll cover the key requirements around backflow prevention, fluid categories, approved materials and fittings, notification requirements and the responsibilities placed on installers, giving you the confidence to design and install compliant water systems every time.
The course is also the first module in our F-Gas to Heat Pump Training Programme, making it an essential step for engineers working towards air source heat pump certification. Like all CMCAT training, it's built around the realities of working tradespeople, keeping time away from the job to a minimum.
Get the regulations right and build every installation on solid ground.
